LAPIDARY BENCH

Privacy policy

This notice describes the launch configuration of Lapidary Bench at lapidarybench.com. Effective October 21, 2026.

Reader messages

The contact form collects the name, email address, subject, and message you provide, together with your agreement to store them for handling the request. Submissions are stored in a private WordPress inbox accessible to site administrators. They are not displayed publicly, and this form does not send automatic email notifications.

We use this information to review corrections, answer questions when possible, and handle privacy requests. A scheduled cleanup removes messages older than 180 days when WordPress scheduled tasks run; removal from hosting backups may take longer. Do not include sensitive information in a message.

Abuse prevention and technical records

The form uses a security token, a hidden spam-trap field, and a short submission limit. That limit uses a temporary salted hash derived from the connecting IP address rather than storing the raw IP in the reader message. The limit expires after five minutes. The hosting service may separately log IP addresses, requested pages, timestamps, and browser or device information for delivery, security, and troubleshooting.

Cookies and WordPress accounts

Ordinary guide reading and this contact form do not require a visitor account. WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in and account functions. Public registration and reader comments are disabled in this launch setup. The mobile menu and table of contents run locally in the browser without a tracking identifier.

Analytics and advertising

This site loads Cloudflare’s real-user performance beacon. It sends browser performance measurements, page URLs, referring URLs, and a page-load identifier to Cloudflare for performance and usage reporting. Cloudflare states that this beacon does not use cookies or browser storage and does not track individual visitors across its customers’ websites. See Cloudflare’s beacon data and privacy documentation. We have not added advertising pixels or affiliate tracking tags to the launch guides. If additional measurement or advertising services are introduced, this notice and any required controls will need to reflect them before use.

Images and external links

Site illustrations and diagrams are served from this website. Our guides link to manufacturer documentation and other external pages. Following a link takes you to another operator’s website, where that operator’s privacy and cookie policies apply. We do not currently embed third-party videos in the launch guides.

Access and deletion requests

You can use the contact form and select “Privacy request” to ask about a message you submitted or request its deletion. Include enough information to locate the message without sending unnecessary personal data. We may need to verify that the request concerns your own information. Some technical records or backups may be retained for operational or legal reasons.

Site operator and service providers

Lapidary Bench operates this editorial website and uses WordPress and hosting infrastructure to deliver it and store messages. Site administrators and the hosting services supporting those functions may process the relevant data. We do not sell reader messages or publish the email address supplied through the form.

Changes

We will update this notice when the site’s data practices change. Use Contact the editor for questions about this notice.
