THE SHORT ANSWER
Treat VEVOR’s six-inch cabbing listings as specific offers to verify, not one timeless specification. The model label VV-JH-6P appears across pages with different power descriptions and product identifiers. Ask for the actual SKU, nameplate, manual and included kit before comparing it with a CabKing or Genie.

| Field | Earlier linked six-inch offer | Current separately identified offer |
|---|---|---|
| Product identifier | 010819337879 | 010308981389 |
| Power in page title | 1/4 hp | 2/5 hp |
| Machine model label | VV-JH-6P | VV-JH-6P |

Why a model name is not enough here
A six-inch machine family can acquire revised bundles, photographs and seller descriptions over time. In this case, the manufacturer’s own pages use VV-JH-6P with differing power descriptions. That is a concrete reason to keep product identifiers separate instead of selecting the most attractive number from each page.
The newer page identifies SKU LSPGJ6INCH148JB7O001V1. Include that string and the full listing in any pre-purchase question. Ask the seller which machine and manual will ship. Do not convert a title’s horsepower into a supposedly verified motor rating when the nameplate has not been confirmed.
What the current listing actually describes
The separately identified offer advertises a six-inch wheel station at 1,800 rpm, with diamond and resin wheels, lighting and a water system. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not measurements by Lapidary Bench. They establish the type of equipment to investigate rather than its performance against another brand.
Record the exact wheel stages, end accessories and mounting dimensions from the supplied manual and seller reply. Do not assume that photographs, review comments or replacement parts attached to an older product page apply to the current offer. Stock images may show a different regional or accessory configuration.
Cabbing is different from faceting
Some VEVOR listing titles include “gem faceting machine.” A wheel station for shaping cabochons should not be assumed to include an indexed faceting head, controlled angle setting and transfer system because those words appear in a marketplace title. Identify the actual components required for the work.
If your goal is symmetrical flat facets, read our faceting equipment explanation before ordering. If the goal is domed cabochons, compare wheel layout and the approved abrasive progression. The distinction prevents a low price from answering the wrong equipment question.
Replacement support is part of the value calculation
Ask for the diameter, width, bore, approved speed and replacement reference of every wheel. Check which parts are stocked for the exact offer and what support is available in your region. A low machine-only price can become a weak comparison when compatible consumables and service remain unidentified.
Our parts guide and replacement budget help turn that information into a complete basket. Keep a claimed warranty separate from a clear process for obtaining the correct component. Save the seller’s written answer with the invoice.
Do not assume the water system matches another brand
Identify the supplied pump, tubing, guards, drainage arrangement and permitted operating setup in the actual manual. A visual resemblance to another cabbing machine does not authorize copying that manufacturer’s water instructions or making a recirculation modification.
Plan clean supply, used material and access for inspection under the VEVOR instructions. We have not measured water consumption or splash. The water-planning worksheet records the physical arrangement while leaving model-specific procedures to the maker.
Evaluate the complete delivered machine
Confirm voltage, frequency, plug details and powered accessories, especially for an imported offer. Ask whether any cutting accessory shown in the bundle is included and approved for that exact machine. A photograph of an attachment is not a capacity assessment or operating instruction.
Compare total delivered charges, return conditions and the missing-part procedure. On arrival, resolve damaged, missing or unidentified components before use under the manual. The electrical checklist helps identify market differences without suggesting wiring alterations.
Our buying judgment
The VEVOR is a candidate for a price-sensitive buyer who can obtain a confirmed specification, complete kit and credible replacement route. We would not choose it solely because a title promises a larger motor or uses the word faceting. The unresolved details materially affect the comparison.
For alternatives, compare the CabKing 6V3 and identified Genie G2 package. We have not tested cut quality, noise, durability or production speed for any of these machines. Use the cabbing-machine guide once the exact VEVOR offer is understood.
